A few months ago, pharmacies in Saxony still had to send parents away because there was no antibiotic fever medicine for children or the drawers were empty. In the meantime, the situation has eased somewhat, as Dr. Melanie Ahaus from the Saxon professional association of paediatricians says. That’s a good thing, because antibiotics are essential for some diseases, even for children.
