When and where the Champions League final is played

With the Champions League quarterfinals resolved, the end of the most important European tournament is approaching. However, the 2023/2024 Champions League is still an open tournament, as the teams contending for the title will still have to face two semi-final matches.

The first clashes will take place on May 30, and the finalists will only be confirmed once the referee gives the final whistle for the match on May 7. These matches, as is customary, will be held in the stadiums of the opposing teams, but the scene of the long-awaited final has already been set.

Only one of the teams that have competed for the title in recent months will lift ‘La Orejona’, and it will be in an emblematic stadium in the heart of England. The final of the 2023/2024 Champions League will be played at Wembley Stadium, with the capacity to accommodate 90,000 fans.

When will the Champions League final be?

It is in this stadium where the England Football Team plays at home, and football events of such caliber as the FA Cup, the English League Cup and the Community Shield are held there. Music, American football and even boxing events have also been held in this regal stadium.

However, Wembley Stadium will once again be the center of attention of all football fans in a few weeks: on June 1, the English field will become the temple of continental football for 90 minutes.

This match will be the eighth Champions League final that Wembley Stadium will host: in 1963, 1968, 1971, 1978 and 1992 the European Cup was held in this stadium, and in 2011 and 2013 the tournament event renamed as UEFA Europa League.
