The trilogy of The Lord of the rings returns this weekend to cinemas throughout Spain and in Galicia there are different theaters in the four provinces that are added to the screenings. This is a new 4K remastering of the films by Peter Jackson, who was personally involved in the editing.
From this weekend you will be able to see The Fellowship of the Ring, the first of the three films, in numerous Galician rooms. The next weekend will be restored The two Towers, while on May 14 it will be the turn of The return of the King. In this way, it is also intended to give a boost to the cinema sector, which has suffered especially the consequences of the pandemic, with fewer premieres in recent months.
In Galicia, there are ten cinemas that will screen the films of Tolkien’s work, beginning with The Fellowship of the Ring. In A Coruña Up to three theaters are offering it from this Friday: Yelmo Cines Los Rosales, Yelmo Espacio Coruña and Cinesa Marineda City. In Vigo It can be seen in two: Yelmo Cines Vigo and Multicines Plaza Elíptica. In Lugo there are sessions in Yelmo As Termas, while in Ourense It can be seen in Multicines Ponte Vella and in Pontevedra at Cinexpo Multicines. In Santiago is available in As Cancelas, while in Narón can be seen in Odeon.
Tickets can be purchased online. Due to the health situation, the capacity of the different cinemas has been reduced considerably. Projection of The Fellowship of the Ring will continue until Thursday, May 6, taking over on Friday, May 7 The two Towers.
