Derailment of a train carrying ammonia, Serbia 51 people were poisoned in the southeast on Sunday, officials said.

The ammonia leak caused 51 cases of poisoning in Pirot, announced the mayor of Pirot, Vladan Vasic.

In Pirot, the neighborhood where the accident took place, a state of emergency has been declared and the authorities have asked residents to stay indoors.

The train, which had 20 carriages, was carrying toxic substances from Bulgariaofficials revealed.
