When 80,000 visitors stormed into the Imax cinema in 60 days

From ten years it was about a sinfully expensive pavement: the redevelopment of three alleys in Prichsenstadt is causing a number of residents to exist. Residents of Schloss-, Freihof- and Kirchgasse fear having to pay 30,000 to 60,000 euros. Erich Eyßelein even speaks of “creeping expropriation”.

No experiments: The Kitzinger Weinfest remains in reliable hands. With a clear majority, the city council awarded the organization for five years – starting in 2012 – to the organizers’ association Kitzinger Promenaden-Weinfest GbR, which has been directing the traditional event for two years. Two other applicants who had also presented their concepts at the meeting were left behind.

20 years ago there is good news from Iphofen: The building permit has been given early and the expansion of the Iphöfer secondary school can begin. A new building is to be built for 2.4 million marks.

The first Imax balance comes from the Mainfrankenpark: The cinema, which opened in December 2000, welcomed 80,000 visitors in 60 days and is thus off to a successful start. In the meantime, the new landmark of the Mainfrankenpark is also indignant and shines for the first time in full splendor like – well – peeled from the egg.
