The Argentine field maintains high expectations with the end of the 2021/22 campaign. According to a survey carried out by the Undersecretariat of Agriculture, the total area sown with wheat will be 6.95 million hectares. With good climatic conditions and adequate humidity conditions during sowing, high yields are expected.

“The prospects are very good, the rains are accompanying the beginning of the development of the crop, so we hope that everything continues on this path,” said Leonel Rocco, rural contractor of the Agrotec Ramallo company, which operates in the area of Ramallo, La Violeta, El Paraíso and Pérez Millan, in the province of Buenos Aires.

On the other hand, the fertilization campaign will be key to take advantage of the rainfall and guarantee the availability of nutrients during the growth of the plantations. In this framework, and during the first weeks of the season, the demand for fertilization has grown notably in the core zone.

“There is a great customer acquisition. In our case, we are pioneers in bringing a pneumatic fertilization system to the area as contractors. Compared to last year we have been growing very strongly in the number of hectares ”, says Rocco, who uses an Altina KIT mounted on a self-propelled vehicle for fertilizer applications.

Regarding the Altina equipment, the contractor said that “the precision, versatility and easy calibration of the equipment were a satisfaction.” In addition, he highlighted the possibility of “working with winds without compromising the uniformity or the width of the work” and the technology in variable dosage that makes it a reliable equipment for fertilization tasks.

“It is a great team with a lot of capacity for daily work, we feel confident that the work will turn out very well,” concluded Rocco.
