WhatsApp will soon receive reactions to messages on iPhone, Android: report

A few months ago, WhatsApp started developing iMessage-like reactions for its app and now the company seems almost ready to release the feature.

WABetaInfo has shared some screenshots of WhatsApp reactions, giving us a glimpse of what the feature might look like once it goes live.

WhatsApp users will see a row of emoji just above the message. It’s unclear if users will have to long-press on a post or if there will be a dedicated button next to the post to add a reaction.

According to the report, reactions to the messages will come with end-to-end encryptions, but so far very little information is available.

WhatsApp is also working on a new feature that would allow group admins on WhatsApp to also delete messages from other group members.

A user will see the message “This has been deleted by an administrator” whenever an administrator deletes a particular post.

“If you’re a group admin, you’ll be able to delete any message for everyone in your groups, in a future WhatsApp for Android beta update,” WABetaInfo recently tweeted.
