This new feature will be available in a future update.
Sending ephemeral videos or photos had been popularized by Snapchat. Meanwhile, Instagram has also adopted this feature.
For its part, WhatsApp also offers the sending of ephemeral photos and videos. However, it was not possible to send one-time visible messages. According to WABetaInfo, this will soon be possible in a new update.
Users will be able to post messages that will only be visible once. To do this, the user will have to press a “single view” button before sending the message in question. Once at the destination, the message will be hidden and the recipient will have to tap on the message to view it.
It will obviously not be possible to share or forward these messages in single view. You will also not be able to take screenshots.
Please note that this is a beta version, so the interface may be different when it is released.
With the ability to send single-view messages, WhatsApp continues to expand its offering. Recently, the instant messaging application also unveiled a new feature that allows you to send messages to yourself.
