WhatsApp is known to be developing new features that many users are waiting for. The messaging application intends to bring voice and video calling features to the web.
That is, the user will be able to make calls or video call from the WhatsApp web application if the feature is implemented. This feature is currently under development and will only be released in a few weeks
Launch Wabetinfo, WhatsApp is developing voice and video calling available for WhatsApp web. The trail of upcoming features has appeared in the new beta update for Android.
“WhatsApp is considering the idea of offering Voice and Video Calls in the next few weeks, even if development is in beta,” Wabetainfo quoted him as saying.
The update will be available in WhatsApp Web 2.2043.7 update.
Wabetainfo also shared some screenshots of how the feature will work or look once implemented. It can be seen that when the user receives a call on WhatsApp, a window will open where the user can decide what to do with the call.
User can accept it or reject it.
Launch India Today, when a user makes a call via WhatsApp web, the window will be slightly different from when he received the call. The window will be smaller and will include the call status.
WhatsApp’s feature tracker also states that users will also be able to make group voice calls and video calls once the feature is launched.
Looking at the plans, WhatsApp’s new group calling feature will be able to double as a professional video conferencing platform but for smaller groups. It’s much easier to connect and users don’t need a password to join the call.
