(ADNSUR) – The instant messaging application WhatsApp announced this Thursday that it will start lock accounts of users who use ‘unofficial’ services, in order to avoid the migration of accounts to other platforms that do not have support and illegally use their name.
This is a measure made known through a statement issued by the company founded in January 2009, where it is clarified that the blockade will be temporary, but it may become definitive in the event that users continue with the improper use of the service.
“If you received a message within the application notifying that your account is found, it means that you are probably using an unauthorized version of WhatsApp instead of the official WhatsApp application. If after your account has been temporarily suspended you do not start using the official version of WhatsApp, your account could be permanently suspended”, Says the letter published on the official website of the company.
“These unofficial applications are developed by third parties and violate our terms of service. WhatsApp does not endorse the use of these third-party applications because it is not possible to validate their security practices “he adds.
Some of the applications that are mentioned may be WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, created by third parties and that offer a similar service although, as the statement indicates, without the support of the company owned by Facebook.
