SAN FRANCISCO, iNews.id – WhatsApp will compress photos sent via their platform. WhatsApp compression makes photos lose detail and sharpness.
Compression is done by WhatsApp so that image files are processed faster. However, there is good news because according to WABetaInfo, they have found signs in the WhatsApp beta that users will soon be allowed to choose the quality of the photos sent.
The options that WhatsApp will give you look familiar. Because, previously, WABetaInfo had found evidence indicating similar treatment would come to videos sent via WhatsApp, as quoted from Ubergizmo, Saturday (10/7/2021).
So, unsurprisingly photos are now getting a similar update. Users will be able to choose from Automatic settings, Best Quality, or Data Saver settings.
Data Saver appears to be sending photos similar to the way WhatsApp handles photos now. Although Best Quality is not yet known how it works.
