Feature Status is already part of the application WhatsApp since 2020, but until now the Status feature is supported in WhatsApp Web still very limited. The good news is that WhatsApp will release a feature that allows users to upload status directly from the web.
As is known, currently WhatsApp users can only upload status from their main cellphone. Even though the companion device is connected to a WhatsApp account, it cannot be used to upload status.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp Web does support the status feature but can only view statuses uploaded by contacts on WhatsApp and those uploaded by users from their main device.
Now these provisions will change because WhatsApp is preparing to release the option to share status via the web. The option was discovered by WABetaInfo in WhatsApp Web beta version 2.2353.59.
The screenshot uploaded by WABetaInfo shows a new button that allows WhatsApp users to upload status in the form of text, photos or videos directly from the web, as quoted from WABetaInfo, Thursday (28/12/2023).

Just like other content shared on WhatsApp, statuses shared via the web are also protected by end-to-end encryption which ensures the contents of the status can only be seen by the user and message recipient.
This new feature will certainly make it easier for users who access WhatsApp more often on the desktop. Moreover, currently the WhatsApp Desktop application for Windows and MacOS does not support the status upload option.
Status upload feature from WhatsApp Web It is currently available for registered beta testers. WABetaInfo believes this feature will be available to all users in the next few weeks.
Apart from the option to upload status via the web, WhatsApp is also testing the option to share status via companion devices. So users will be able to upload status from a second cellphone or Android tablet that is connected to a WhatsApp account.
