Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
WhatsApp re-do feature updates. This time an update was made to the voicemail sending feature.
After a person records sound to send, he can hear or preview first the results of the recording, before later sent to the interlocutor.
This was announced by WhatsApp through the Twitter social media account.
“You can now preview your voicemail before hitting send.” wrote @WhatsApp.
This is done to reduce the possibility of errors when users send voice messages to the other person or in the group.
This is also WhatsApp’s way of preventing users from accidentally recording voices and sending them to the other person or group.
In many cases, someone accidentally records the sound and automatically sends it. In fact, it could be that the recorded sound is not supposed to be sent or published.
Now WhatsApp provides a ‘stop’ button when a user is recording a voice message. When the user presses the button, the voice message can be heard before being sent.
WhatsApp also provides a trash can logo button to delete and unsend voice messages.
Preview or preview audio is one part of a series of updates surrounding WhatsApp’s voicemail feature.
Earlier this year, WhatsApp provided a voice speed selection feature when playing received voice messages.
