According to this leak, the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android, with a version number 2.22.16.11hides a function through which you can create a virtual avatar in the style of Facebook Bitmoji to use in video calls.
Very soon you will be able to use your own virtual avatar in WhatsApp video calls.
The arrival of virtual avatars in WhatsApp video calls is getting closer
When we told you about the WhatsApp for Android Beta update with version number 2.22.15.5, we already told you that the messaging client was working on a feature that would allow you to create your own virtual avatar to use in video calls and now we can confirm that these they will be very similar to facebook 3d avatars and that in addition, this new feature will also allow you to create stickers from said virtual avatar.
As you can see in the screenshot that we leave below these lines, once this new feature is available you will see a new option in the settings of WhatsApp called Avatar from which you can create your own avatar by clicking on the button Create your avatar.
When creating an avatar, you can customize certain aspects of it, such as skin tone, clothing, hair color, hairstyle, posture and even facial expressions.
Of course, you must keep in mind that this new WhatsApp function is still in its early stages of development and we still don’t know when it will start rolling out to beta users.
