This time Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart announce the updates in exchange with the blog WABetaInfo. Zuckerberg gives hope for three innovations that will probably be implemented “soon”.

On the one hand, WhatsApp users should be able to send messages that are automatically deleted after a short time. This innovation is reminiscent of the Snapchat service, which has been offering this function for some time. Photos and messages can only be seen once after opening.
The “View Once” renewal is intended to ensure that private content disappears more quickly. Screenshots of the content should still be possible. The control over self-deleting messages is also to be optimized: While in the current version the messages have to be selected individually, deletion can soon be set as the standard option for all messages.
