The other novelty concerns ephemeral messages. For some time now, WhatsApp has been offering its users this feature which, once activated, deletes the messages received and read after 7 days. With the update, all the participants in a conversation will be able to modify the “Missing messages” parameter in the group, even if the administrators of the conversation will still be able to restrict the privileges of the participants via the “Modify the information of the participant” parameter. group ”.
If the read messages disappear after 7 days in the conversations where the feature is activated, this is not the case for the photos and videos automatically saved on the phones. The same goes for messages transferred to other conversations.
