Whatsapp, the 6-digit code scam is back
This is the now famous 6-digit code scam. A “sneaky game” that hacker they use to steal our most confidential information or even private passwords.
In fact, in various circumstances we use this tool as reminder and we write messages or ourselves or contacts of very close people with information that in possession of malicious people can become deleterious.
In the last days, starting from those before the Christmas this petty technique seems to be back in vogue again. Scammers posing as your contact send the following message (to which you NEVER have to answer): “Hi, I sent you a code by mistake, could you send it back to me?”.
The combination in question is of course that a 6 digits that is provided to us when we create the profile whataspp. Should we unfortunately fall for it, these lowly characters could enter the desk version of theapp and take over our account.
Unfortunately, despite the considerable amount of information in this regard there are many people, especially a little older, who are deceived by this trap and find themselves in enormous trouble. Maybe with the help of younger people who are generally more perceptive in recognizing these scams, even older ones will finally be able to avoid them.
