WhatsApp first emerged as an instant messaging app in 2010. But after a while, many features such as calling and video calling were added. According to the news shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp, Call Scheduling for group chats Working on the feature. According to this feature, WhatsApp users in the same group will plan a call in advance and join it as an online meeting.
As seen in the screenshot above, the scheduled call will be set via the three-point menu on the top left of the group chats. Title, date and time will be determined from this field. Users in the WhatsApp group will be able to set themselves up for this predetermined call.
On the other hand, it is not clear whether a pre-planned mass call will be reminded by the platform. However, if this feature is also present, a pre-scheduled call for groups on WhatsApp will have a higher rate of being forgotten.
WABetaInfo quotes the following notes for the instant communication application WhatsApp to work on the Call Scheduling feature:
“It is really helpful if the WhatsApp group is planning an event so members can schedule a call to discuss details and make sure everyone is available.”
The feature, which is only tested for groups, is being tested with the Beta 2.23.4.4 update for Android. It is not yet known when it will come to the stable version.
