In our daily life, the phrase “Get off WhatsApp” has become a frequently heard phrase. We share group selfies, baby and cat photos, work related images and funny photos with our friends, family and coworkers. However, there was a serious problem that we encountered in this process.
WhatsApp was reducing the quality of the photos we sent by about 70 percent. However, there is a promising development that this problem will disappear in the near future.

WhatsApp is currently testing the ability to send high-resolution photos, WABetaInfo reports. This feature is being tested in the latest beta versions of the app for iOS and Android. WhatsApp is giving beta users an option to adjust the quality during posting.
However, as WABetaInfo points out, this option does not mean that photos will be sent in the full original size. So WhatsApp will still apply a slight compression to the images.
Currently, this editing option only applies to photos and has not yet been implemented for videos. There is no clear information yet on when it will be available to all users.
