WhatsApp revolutionizes its voicemail messages!

Are you often tired of having to restart a voicemail message from 0 on WhatsApp instead of just pausing it? Meta must have heard you.

A month ago, the WhatsApp team announced that they are working on new features for their messaging service. Among these, the possibility of pausing the recording of a voice message. No information on the release of this feature had been given by the company.

Beta program members WhatsApp, however, have reported that they have access to this new feature. For now, only beta testers on iOS have access to this addition. The feature comes with WhatsApp beta version 2.21.230.16 for iOS. However, some beta testers of version 2.21.230.13 reported having access to it as well.

Concretely, the pause is in the form of a red pause menu which is displayed when a message is recorded. This very practical feature makes it possible to no longer have to completely delete a message if you are interrupted or to have to send it in several times if you have to think about the rest of your message. For the moment, however, no information on the possible duration of this break has been transmitted.

To be able to currently access this functionality, several criteria must be met. First of all, you need to be a member of the WhatsApp beta program on iOS. It is then necessary that its application is up to date and finally, it is necessary to have the chance to be selected among the beta testers. Not all members have access to this feature for the moment. If you weren’t chosen, you’ll probably have to wait for a next update.

While currently being tested on iOS, this feature should arrive on Android as well, when developers deem it mature enough.
