WhatsApp Revamps Privacy Settings: Easy Access to Enhanced Control for Users on Android and iPhone

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – WhatsApp has brought back a new feature to make it easier to access privacy checks on both Android phones and iPhones.

In the latest beta version, WhatsApp introduced a way to open the privacy check screen.

Some beta testers of the WhatsApp app were able to easily find the new option at the bottom of the privacy settings. So, they can change the settings according to their preferences.

This feature provides instructions for managing important things like who can see your profile picture, last status, and information about you, as well as who can add you to groups.

Referring to Phone Arena, Wednesday (28/8/2024), this new setting makes the privacy search feature on WhatsApp easier to find. This way, WhatsApp users can change their privacy settings faster according to their wishes.

This step is considered positive, especially since Meta is often criticized for its data collection practices. Now, users have more control over the privacy of their personal information.

Chat application Meta is also reportedly preparing to introduce a feature that will allow users to block messages from unknown contacts.

In addition, they are also working on a voice chat mode for Meta AI, the company’s free AI assistant that can be accessed through its applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
