With the new app version, Messenger brings an additional function for emoji junkies: users can now react with all emojis.

We reported back in May
that Whatsapp has caught up with other messengers and now allows users to react to messages with popular emojis. To do this, long-press a message and several contextual options appear, including a choice of six emojis: thumbs up, heart, face crying from laughter, amazed emoji, face crying, and the thank you gesture.
Now Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta (Whatsapp’s parent company), reports that the developers have unlocked a new option
to reply to messages not only with six preset emojis, but with all available emojis.
To get the new feature in Whatsapp you need to update to the latest version. For example, on iOS, this is 22.14.74. The developer usually does not unlock the news for all users at the same time, but rolls them out over several days. This means that you may have to wait a little longer before you can send the shit emoji as an answer. If the function is rolled out for you, appears
a plus sign next to the six default emojis
you can now select the desired pictogram and place it under a message.
A few special features must be observed: Only one reaction per user and per message is possible. If the chat is set to self-deleting messages, the emoji reaction will disappear along with the message. You can’t hide the emoji reactions or the number of them.
