Over time, improvements and new features appear in WhatsApp and in what this service is able to offer users. A new change may be on the way, already in testing.
The novelty focuses on the ability for messages to be automatically deleted, extending the time limit given for this action to take place.
It is not new that WhatsApp allows you to program the automatic deletion of messages. This novelty emerged at the end of last year, giving users great freedom when it comes to managing their information on this service.
Until now this capacity was limited to only one option, the known 7 days. For most, this option is sufficient, not least because there is no other option. This reality may change soon, with the arrival of yet another option, which will give only 24 hours of life.
WhatsApp is testing the ability to set messages to disappear after 24 hours.

This amendment has been commented on for some time, however, without any specific option for testing it. Its presence had been revealed in the app's code, but it was not yet finished for use.
That seems to be changing now, with something new to be discovered in the latest trial versions of WhatsApp. The new option for messages that disappear is now visible and gives users a choice of 24 hours to live for messages sent.
Although not yet accessible to everyone, this option should work in the same way as before. Every 24 hours the messages shared in the conversations are automatically deleted, without the user having to intervene.
This novelty reinforces all the options that WhatsApp already gives users. By reducing the lifetime of these messages, it gives everyone more security and ensures that it is more difficult to access the most sensitive or private information that was exchanged in the conversation.
