The Christ Church Congregation is again sending “Passion Minis” via WhatsApp this year. Every day from Ash Wednesday to Easter there is a message on the mobile phone: a picture, a poem, a word from the Bible, a question on various weekly topics – in short, a suggestion to pause for a moment in the middle of everyday life. “You just need curiosity and a little time every day,” invites Pastor Jana Koch-Zeißig. To register, simply save the number 0157/50485167 in your own address book and send a message with the content “PassionsMini” via WhatsApp. The telephone numbers are stored anonymously for the duration of Lent and then deleted again. The messages are sent in the form of a broadcast, which means that no group is formed, but everyone receives an individual message. “So it is also possible for people to reply to the messages from time to time if they want to,” says Jana Koch-Zeißig. +++
