Despite the fact that the year has just begun, WhatsApp developers continue to actively develop the popular messaging service, creating new and improving existing functions. According to available data, the messenger will receive many interesting improvements over the next 12 months.
According to online sources, the developers are preparing many improvements for WhatsApp, which will affect various functions of the messenger, including voice and video calls, backup of chat history, contact management, etc. Also, new stickers and fixes for various errors are expected.
Not without new features, one of which will allow users to join already started group calls (currently, this cannot be done). Thus, users will be able to connect to the started calls in case they for some reason could not accept the call at the beginning of the conversation.
The mentioned feature has not yet been announced and is not yet available for testing, but enthusiasts managed to find a mention of it while studying the code of the latest beta versions of WhatsApp mobile applications. It is assumed that users of the messenger on devices running Android and iOS will be able to join already started group calls.
When exactly the developers are planning to launch the new feature is still unknown. Obviously, at first it will be tested for some time among users of the beta versions of the messenger, and after that it will appear in the stable versions of WhatsApp applications.
