WhatsApp has begun to implement a new function that for many users is one of the most useful in the application. These are Chat Lists, a tool that allows users to group their conversations in a personalized way. The novelty, which is already active in the latest update of the app, makes it easier to organize chats into categories such as friends, work, family, among others, improving the management of conversations on the platform.
To activate the Lists function you must go to the “Settings” of the application. There users can create and name custom lists. WhatsApp also includes three default lists: Unread, Groups and Favorites, which cannot be modified, but can be hidden.

Now your chats are organized
The process to create a list is simple. When accessing the settings section, users must select the “Lists” option and choose a name, which may even contain emojis for further personalization. In this list it is possible to include both contacts and groups, allowing conversations to be grouped according to the user’s preferences.
Once created, the lists will appear as filters in the chats tab. By selecting a specific list, The user will only see messages from contacts and groups that are included in that category. This function is similar to the folders in Telegram, offering a more organized and efficient system to manage multiple conversations.
To find out if this feature is available to you, you can check your WhatsApp settings. If the Lists option appears instead of Favorites, it means that you already have this tool in your application. Otherwise, it is recommended that you update the application to the most recent version.
