Jakarta –
WhatsApp finally launched the official chat account on WhatsApp. Inside the official WhatsApp account will highlight all the new features added to its platform and will also provide tips to users.
WhatsApp’s official account itself is marked with a green badge, of course with the aim of notifying users that the account is verified and legit.
A verified badge ensures that the chat is legit, gives users assurance that the information they receive is reliable and helps prevent users from falling victim to scams or phishing attempts that might try to impersonate these official WhatsApp accounts.
Reported by detiKINET WABetaInfo, this week several random people on WhatsApp for iOS and Android have received the first message from the official WhatsApp chat.
The first message sent from the official WhatsApp account is explaining how to get rid of the message by linking to the official FAQ, then the disappearing message feature allows users to send messages that will disappear from the sender’s and recipient’s chats after a certain amount of time.
WhatsApp’s official chat was created so that users can easily stay informed without having to look for the latest information themselves. Apart from that users can receive updates directly from WhatsApp.
Like other chats on WhatsApp, users can also archive or block conversations if they don’t want to receive notifications.
Keep in mind that users cannot find official accounts WhatsApp in the chat list, unless the official WhatsApp account has messaged you first.
