JawaPos.com – WhatsApp has officially launched a new feature called ‘Pin’.
This feature allows WhatsApp short message users to embed all types of messages in individual and group conversations.
WhatsApp announced the presence of this feature via their official page, where previously users who wanted to pin a message had to use the Starred Message feature.
With the presence of the ‘Pin’ feature on WhatsApp, it will be more practical to pin important messages because they are directly at the top of the conversation so they are easier to find.
As quoted from The Verge page on Wednesday (13/12), WhatsApp added the ability to pin messages to the top of your chats for up to 30 days.
Meta said that not all users can immediately see the ‘Pin’ feature.
However, he said that to do that users need to long press and tap ‘Pin.’
The embed message feature itself is available in three different durations.
“Seven days is the default duration for a pin, but users can choose to change it to 24 hours or 30 days,” writes The Verge.
Any short message can be pinned with this latest WhatsApp feature addition. Starting from messages, polls, images or even videos.
In use, this embed feature can be used for various things such as embedding your home address, activity schedule and other important information. ***
