Other things to know about WhatsApp timed messages are as follows:
– In individual chats, both users can enable or disable timed messages. In group chats, all group participants can enable or disable timed messages. However, group administrators can change group settings to allow only group administrators to enable or disable timed messages.
– If a user does not open WhatsApp within a 24-hour, 7-day or 90-day period, the corresponding message will disappear from the chat. However, the preview of the message may still appear in the notifications until WhatsApp is opened.
– When you reply to a message, the replied message is quoted. When you reply to a timed message, the quoted text may remain in the chat after the time you selected has expired.
– Timed messages forwarded to a chat that has timed messages disabled will not disappear from the chat they were sent to.
– If users create a backup before the message disappears, the timed message is included in the backup. Timed messages are deleted when users restore the backup.
ATTENTION TO THESE!
Recommending that timed messages be used only with trusted people, WhatsApp also warns:
“The person you are messaging;
You can forward a timed message before it disappears or take a screenshot and save it;
It can copy and save the content of the timed message before it disappears.
He can take a picture of the timed message using a camera or other device before it disappears.”
