WhatsApp is rolling out a new update in which we discover a new widget on iOS. iPhone users can now have a shortcut to their chats on the home screen.
WhatsApp uses widgets on iPhone
WhatsApp launches its very first widget on iOS. By downloading the latest version of the 24.21.81 application on iPhone, we discover a new widget for the home screen. This focuses on discussions and provides access to four different sections, of the user’s choice.
By selecting Recent, Favorites, Pinned or Frequent Contacts, the widget displays the relevant discussions. To add it, simply make a long press on the iPhone home screen then click on Modifier top left and Add a widget.
Despite the update and a clear description, the widget does not yet appear in the list for some users. Since the update is very recent, you sometimes have to wait several hours or even days to see what’s new on WhatsApp.
Incidentally, WhatsApp has finally extended the zoom of its camera. From now on, it is possible to adjust the zoom from 0.5x to 3x via 1x and 2x. You can also mention other users via @ in your status.
