WhatsApp Launches Custom Lists Feature to Filter Chats: Enhance Your Messaging Experience!

WhatsApp today started rolling out a new feature that lets you create lists. With such a list you can easily filter the messages on WhatsApp. This should allow you to see the chats you care about more quickly. So the new function is especially useful for those who access many apps every day.

As new lists feature it’s actually an extended version of the chat filters that WhatsApp launched earlier this year. You can now compile lists of people and groups yourself, with which you can filter the WhatsApp ‘inbox’. This way you will see the conversations you are looking for faster.

For example, you can make a list for your best friends, family members, neighbors, colleagues or teammates. “Lists help you focus on the most important conversations, when you need them,” says WhatsApp.

You can create lists by tapping the + in the filter bar at the top of the Chats tab. You can also edit the lists by long pressing them. As with the recently added preferences feature, you can add both individual chats and group chats to your lists.

WhatsApp started rolling out the lists today, but this is going in stages, so you may not see the new feature yet. “This functionality will be available to everyone in the coming weeks,” the chat service said.

WhatsApp also came up with one last week New widget for iOS 18which gives you faster access to chat on the iPhone home screen.
