WhatsApp is working on a way for you to edit sent messages later. This is a standard function for other messengers like Telegram. However, this option is currently only being prepared behind the scenes. It hasn’t been rolled out yet.
This function was already mentioned five years ago (!), but unfortunately it was never pursued further.
Above you can see a screenshot of the colleagues by WABetaInfo, what the function might look like in the end. You could then also lend a hand again after sending a message – for example to correct small spelling mistakes. It is currently unclear whether this will only be possible within a certain time frame after sending or indefinitely.
