WhatsApp is working on a feature so users can leave groups secretly?

According to WABetaInfo, in the screenshot, it is seen that when a user wants to leave a WhatsApp group, the other person will not be notified in the chat. Only group admins can see who left the group, but not others.

Reported from Business Insider, Thursday (19/5/2022), this feature is under development so it’s not ready to roll out to beta testers yet. Nowadays, when a user leaves a group, WhatsApp usually adds a system message in the chat to notify all participants that you are leaving the group.

The report mentions that although the screenshots were taken from WhatsApp Desktop beta, the feature is not certain to be released on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS in the future.

However, this feature is under development in WhatsApp Desktop beta at the moment. According to the report, it is planned that the feature will be rolled out to users in a future update.

Recently, the messaging platform has announced that they are rolling out new features, including emoji reactions, larger files, and groups. The company says that it is slowly rolling out the ability to add up to 512 people to groups.
