Some time ago, WhatsApp introduced so-called statuses, through which users can share photos, videos, texts or other content for a limited period of 24 hours. After it expires, everything disappears. A few days ago, the creators of the application they announced new options regarding this feature.
For example, a tool was created to select the circle of users who will see your status update. Sometimes a situation can arise where you don’t want everyone to know about something. “The last selected range of users will be saved and will be the default setting for the next state as well,” the website states.
It is also possible to upload a voice message of up to 30 seconds to the status or display a preview of the content of the shared link. WhatsApp also adds status reactions and profile rings indicating new updates.
“We’ve already started rolling out these updates to users around the world. They should be available to everyone in the coming weeks. We’re excited for people to be able to try out these new status features soon,” the developers said two weeks ago.
