WhatsApp ended up on these cell phone models that will be informed at the end of this article. But why did the most used messaging app in the world stop working on certain devices? This article will also answer this question, which is very common among users.
Along with the constant news announced for the application, such as voice calls with 32 people, reaction to messages with emojis and location of commercial establishments that use WhatsApp Business, this update was released. The news may have surprised some users and they will have to change their device if they want to use the messaging app normally.
Why will the app stop working on these models?
According to what was reported by WhatsApp representatives, the app will stop working on older models from 2023. According to the app, these models will no longer be compatible. Users of these cell phones who want to continue using them must buy a cell phone that is compatible with Android 4.2 systems, called Jelly Bean, or iOS 12.1.
The app will stop working on these models as they no longer support the newest operating systems. In addition, another highly requested feature by users is the implementation of the “accidental deletion” option. This function serves as an opportunity to revert a message that has been accidentally deleted.
Before, when someone accidentally deleted a message, there was no turning back. However, the new version has been tested for a few months in the Beta version of the messaging app. There is still no official date for the release to arrive for all users.
