The new feature, which was announced by Mark Zuckerberg, the head of the “Meta” company that owns WhatsApp, will introduce the “screen sharing” feature during video calls.
The new feature, announced on Tuesday, will leave beta and will be gradually rolled out to all WhatsApp users over the next few weeks.
“We will be adding the ability to share your screen during a WhatsApp video call,” Zuckerberg posted on his Instagram channel on Tuesday.
How will the screen sharing process take place on “WhatsApp” during video calls:
Start a video call with one or more people. Click the new share icon. Choose whether you want to share a specific app or your entire screen. Your screen will then be shared with all call participants in landscape view. Their video icons will still be visible on the right side of your screen.
Meta has focused on introducing new features to expand WhatsApp usage over the past few months, including instant video messaging, channels to follow people and brands, and locking your conversations with a code.
