The popular chat application WhatsApp is preparing a new feature for users that many can’t wait for – it will allow sending images and photos in high quality.
WhatsApp is one of the most popular chat apps in the world, but it still faces a lot of competition. Developers are aware of this and therefore try to introduce new features.
Currently, experts are testing one that will allow high-quality images and photos to be sent. iOS and Android users can already try it in the latest beta versions. It should be launched for everyone in the coming weeks, the portal reported FoneTech.
Thanks to the HD button, it is possible to send high-quality photos, but not quite in their original quality. “The option preserves the dimensions of the image, but light compression is still applied to the image,” the portal pointed out WABetaInfo.
Images sent in this way will be marked with an HD icon. In addition, users will have to select the HD option every time they want to send a picture in high quality. By default, it will always be “standard quality”.
