Those who like to use the popular messenger now have the option of accessing Giphy stickers on WhatsApp. And that’s not the only new feature.
According to the company, around two billion people worldwide use WhatsApp. They already have numerous options for communicating with their loved ones: text messages, audio or video recordings are just as possible as sharing photos and funny graphics. Even more options are now being added for the latter.
WhatsApp introduces database for Giphy stickers
Users of the communication application can already choose from many emojis and gifs, create their own avatars and send stickers. As those responsible for the messenger explained in a new blog entry There will be even more of these colorful moving images.
One of these is that new and searchable Giphy stickers are appearing on WhatsApp. To this end, the company has partnered with the well-known online database for gifs to bring its extensive collection directly to WhatsApp. This makes it possible to search for and find exactly the right sticker without leaving the application.

But that’s not all: WhatsApp also informs that you can now create your own stickers on Android, after iOS users have been able to do this for some time. Your own creations are saved automatically. Organization should be very easy, as you can move the stickers back and forth in your own area.

It’s so easy to find Giphy stickers on WhatsApp
If you want to use funny Giphy stickers in your next WhatsApp conversation, simply follow these steps (using a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE with Android 14 as an example):
- Open any chat in WhatsApp
- Press the face at the bottom left to access the emoji selection
- In the tab above, select the sticker option on the far right
There you can select stickers and create your own. Press the “+” on the right to get to a general sticker overview, but also to your own creations.

There is also a note that thanks to Meta AI, users can also create stickers using artificial intelligence. However, this is currently only possible in the USA for Android and iOS.
