WhatsApp is one of the most used instant messaging applications, and the platform owned by Meta has now launched a new feature that will enhance the chat experience even more, as WhatsApp introduced the ability to chat with unknown phone numbers, which means that users will no longer have to save a number on WhatsApp to chat with them.
Available on Android and iOS, the new WhatsApp feature allows users to chat with any phone number outside their phonebook. Previously, users encountered certain limitations when trying to start a conversation with someone on WhatsApp without saving their contact information first, and often had to resort to third-party apps or official Click-to-Chat APIs, which could be more complicated for some users to use.
However, with this new feature, WhatsApp aims to simplify the process by allowing users to start a conversation without having to save contacts in their address book. Whenever you enter an unknown phone number in WhatsApp, it will search outside of your contacts. To check if this feature is available for your WhatsApp account, simply search for the phone number by accessing your contact list.
