WhatsApp has released a new beta version of its messenger application. The design of the app’s internal camera function has been revised. Here you can read what is changing now.

WhatsApp has released a new beta update for the Android version of the popular Messenger application. This is version 2.22.1.2. Like “WABetaInfo” reported, the patch brings a redesign of the camera function.

These are primarily cosmetic adjustments. There are two major changes to this. On the one hand, the button for the lightning bolt has been moved to the top right corner. On the other hand, there is now a button for recently opened media. So far, the latest images were shown in a small preview. This partially obscures parts of the desired motif. This problem is resolved with the new feature.

It is not yet known when the newly designed camera function will also be integrated into the regular WhatsApp version. It will probably be some time before then.

WhatsApp is currently releasing many smaller updates for its Android beta version. Patch 2.22.1.1 came only a few days ago. This includes a new function for group admins. In the future, they should be able to delete any message sent in a group for all members.
