In the coming weeks WhatsApp apparently wants to adjust its terms of use due to a completely new and not undisputed feature.
After the terrible news that the popular WhatsApp messenger will no longer work on thousands of smartphones from January 1, 2021, fans of the free messaging service have to digest first. But things are getting worse, as insiders are now revealing.
No more WhatsApp from January 1st on thousands of cell phones ++ The details here >>
From February 8th, the new function will enable operators to send notifications directly to users. WhatsApp still vows that the feature will not be used for advertisements, but it could be the cornerstone for such pop-up ads in the future.
The update also includes a change in the terms of use. While these usually go unnoticed by most users, this time each user has to actively agree – otherwise WhatsApp can no longer be used.
So if you don’t agree with the new functions, you’re out of luck and will simply be locked out. What exactly will be in the new terms of use is still open – so one can still hope.
