After the option to share statuses, the new feature that will soon be integrated into the WhatsApp application will be the disappearance of messages for all, an option similar to that of Snapchat. Thanks to this, users will be able to choose to completely stop using Snapchat since it can be said that the new version of WhatsApp will be able to replace it.
Apart from that, it seems that other novelties are also expected soon on the messaging service. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp app boss Will Cathcart confirmed this in a panel chat with website participation. WABetaInfo, a site that tracks the evolution of the WhatsApp application.

Among the features in the works is support for multiple devices, a feature that is highly requested by users.
Snapchat’s features gradually reproduced
With the “Disappearance” mode, users will now be able to use WhatsApp to send ephemeral messages to their contacts. Activation of the option for individual chats will therefore no longer be necessary since the option will be enabled by default for both individual chats and group chats, once disappearance mode is activated.
The disappearing messages feature will make WhatsApp a snap-on Snapchat-like app. For Facebook and Instagram, the same functionality has been around for quite some time, and it’s referred to as Vanish Mode.
Apart from this feature, Zuckerberg also announced the arrival of another tool called “View Once”. This will allow you to send photos and videos to your contacts, and the media will be deleted immediately when they have been viewed by the recipient.

Several features in preparation
According to Zuckerberg and Cathcart’s statement, cross-device support will be available for WhatsApp beta users soon, that is, within a month or two. This feature has been requested a lot by users. There is already the WhatsApp Web function which allows the use of the application on several devices, but it is not really the multi-device solution that users are looking for. According to Cathcart, the new tool will be able to simultaneously support up to four devices including the iPad.
Other features are also in the works on WhatsApp. We can for example cite the shortcut for stickers which is located next to the smiley button, voice and video calls on the web, or the integration of JioMart.
