WhatsApp, the world’s most frequently used instant messaging application, has released a new video on its official YouTube channel. In the video titled “How to send a temporary message on WhatsApp”, WhatsApp explains in detail how messages that are automatically deleted after a period of time can be sent.
If you want your messages to be deleted automatically after seven days, you first need to enable the “temporary messages” feature. With this feature enabled, all messages sent are automatically deleted after 7 days. To send standard, persistent messages, you need to disable the feature again.
HOW TO USE WHATSAPP PERMANENT MESSAGES FEATURE?
- Tap the chat for which you want to enable timed messages.
- Tap the name of the person or group.
- Tap on the “Serialized messages” option.
- Tap “On”.
HOW TO TURN THE WHATSAPP SUBMITTED MESSAGES FEATURE?
- Tap the conversation for which you want to turn off serial messages.
- Tap the name of the person or group.
- Tap on the “Serialized messages” option.
- Tap the “Off” option.
In addition, when you enable the continuous messages feature, you can reach the temporary messages menu by touching the warning text that appears in the chat window and disable the feature.
