JAKARTA, COMPASS.TV– The instant messaging app, WhatsApp, introduces a new font that can be used in image editors in the future.
Quoting from Between, Monday (30/1/2023), this feature comes after WhatsApp announced the WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.23.3.4. This version of Android brings features to make it easier to edit text in images, videos, and GIFs.
Although the feature is still under development, thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.23.3.7, WhatsApp confirmed the names of the fonts that will be available in the future, namely Calistoga, Courier Prime, Damion, Exo 2, and Morning Breeze.
However, these fonts cannot be used for text statuses and chat messages, so they can only be used in an image editor.
Thanks to the new font, users will be able to add even more personalization and creativity to their text within images, videos and GIFs.
As well as expressing yourself better by creating more visually appealing content.

Previously, the WhatsApp short message application presented its application specifically in the beta version of macOS for the public. Currently, the WhatsApp application for macOS can be downloaded on the official WhatsApp website.
The presence of this application will be the first step for WhatsApp to bring a special application to laptops made by Apple.
Users who use laptops or PCs with the previous macOS operating system can only access the instant messaging service through the website web.whatsapp.com.
This is because there is no special WhatsApp application on laptops and devices with the macOS operating system. For users who want to try vWhatsApp for the beta version of MacOS, they must meet the minimum requirements, namely using macOS 11 Big Sur.

Some users who have tried this beta version, said the application has been optimized and provides a faster and more efficient user experience in exchanging messages.

Additionally, the app is designed to feel more like a Mac app by introducing a sidebar in the app, and the ability to drag and drop files. Please note that since it is still in beta, some features may not work properly.
There may also be more features coming to the stable version of the WhatsApp for macOS app.
