The WhatsApp mobile application has a new feature from Tuesday. It’s called View Once. It can be used to send photos or videos that the recipient can only open and then delete themselves. Facebook, which operates WhatsApp, announced this in press release.
“Photography has become an important part of our lives, but everything we send does not have to be part of our digital footprint,” Facebook said in a statement. On many phones, the photo that someone takes is left forever. The function can be used by selecting the one-time display option in the application.
The new function can be used, for example, when sending sensitive password information to the wifi network. Also in this way, people can send a photo in the dress they are trying on. Photos and videos will not be forwardable, saved, starred or shared. The interval for opening the sent file is 14 days, after which it will no longer be displayed.
At the same time, Facebook reassures the user that these messages, like the normal ones, will be secured with end encryption, so WhatsApp will not see what you just sent. At the same time, messages sent using the new feature will be marked with a one-time icon, and when viewed, the user will see that their photo has been opened.
