According to data obtained by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp appears to be working on a feature that will allow users to record and send voice messages to their WhatsApp status. When the feature becomes available, the app will allow you to save voicemail status in a form very similar to what you can do in a chat. This may include uploading existing audio documents.

Sound recordings, landscapes and images in status updates will be shared with your WhatsApp individuals using individual privacy settings, and they will be end-to-end encrypted. WhatsApp isn’t the only app trying out audio stories. A while ago, Twitter was testing the voice tweet feature on iOS, but not everyone has access to this feature now. But when it comes to WhatsApp, it looks like the status feature is about to be expanded into a more logical form; the app basically enables voicemail and has done so for several years.
Unfortunately, this feature is still under development and not available even for beta testers now. But when the feature becomes available, it will likely start with beta users of the app before it rolls out to everyone.
