Knowing when our WhatsApp contacts last logged into the app sometimes makes us feel good. However, when using this feature, we also notify our contacts of our last seen status. In terms of closing the last seen feature may bother some of us. This general rule for the feature, which was only ever an option to turn it off completely, will soon change.
Every messaging app, from Telegram to Signal, certainly gives you access to some default options. Thus, you decide which part of your profile the person you are messaging can see . WhatsApp will let you hide your last seen status from your chosen ones on iOS
. Last seen, one of the most valuable default options, unfortunately didn’t allow for such customization. However, it has been revealed that WhatsApp will arrive on the iOS version , and now you can hide your last seen only from people you choose. The first screenshots shared are as follows:
That’s why you should think twice when using this feature. Although the feature is currently at distribution level , it is not available to all users. You can update the app to the latest version and see if this feature is available in the settings. If it hasn’t arrived, you just have to wait a bit .
This isn’t the only feature coming to WhatsApp soon. Yesterday we shared with you the news that a new feature called ‘ Communities ‘ will be added to the application. However, it was announced that the document sharing limit would increase to 2 GB . Raising the 100MB limit until then will come to us like medicine in the weeks to come.
Although there is no information on whether the feature will come to Android in the future, we are confident that it will.
