A foot trainer almost became the victim of a so-called WhatsApp scammer.
On Monday, an unknown perpetrator contacted a woman from Fussach via SMS and pretended to be her daughter. With the reference to a new phone number, further communication took place via WhatsApp.
The alleged daughter asked the woman to pay a bill of 1450 euros to a Lithuanian account, after which the woman made the transfer. The injured party later noticed the fraud and managed to cancel the transfer in good time.
