“WhatsApp for Android Getting a Major Redesign with Revamped Bottom Navigation Bar”

WhatsApp for Android could soon get a major redesign. After years of user requests for a new interface, the app is working on a revamped bottom navigation bar, similar to the one available on the iPhone.

The information comes from WABetaInfo, which says that WhatsApp is working on bringing a new user interface to the app in a future update. That being said, it means this isn’t something Android users can test right now, but WhatsApp has started rolling out this change internally.

With this redesign, WhatsApp for Android will have a more modern and intuitive look when navigating the app, allowing users to access chats, communities, statuses, and calls with just a tap.

By bringing the new bottom navigation bar, WhatsApp for Android adds cross-platform consistency as it might be confusing for iOS users who might switch to the other operating system.

For now, it is not yet clear when WhatsApp will deliver this redesign for Android users, but in elsalvadorgram we will let you know in due course.

Apart from that, WhatsApp has recently announced new features for administrators and community members. Are here:

  • New control for administrators: WhatsApp has developed a simple tool to give administrators the ability to decide who can join a group. When an admin chooses to share their group invite link or make their group accessible in a community, they now have more control over who can join. WhatsApp is making this change because it believes that “groups are where people have some of their most intimate conversations, and it’s important that admins be able to easily decide who can and can’t join.”
  • Easily see groups in common: By creating more communities, WhatsApp wants to make it easier for people to understand which groups they have in common with someone else. Whether trying to remember the name of a group you share with someone or seeing the groups you both have in common, users can now easily search for a contact’s name to see mutual groups.
