Meta’s messaging app has just released a new update that, among other things, allows you to share up to 100 media files.
WhatsApp does not let the competition breathe and continues to improve. The knowledgeable WABetaInfo reveals that the Meta group app is rolling out a new update for Android version users. Among other novelties, the possibility of sharing up to a hundred photos and videos.
Three in one
In all, the most recent version of the application incorporates three changes. First, developers are pushing the boundaries of media file sharing. Thus, users can now share up to 100 photos and/or videos in one go. Against only thirty before. Suffice to say that the difference is colossal. No doubt this should greatly facilitate the sharing of albums.
In parallel, WhatsApp now allows its users to caption their documents. The functionality was, until now, in the test phase on the beta version, and the success is there. As a result, owners of an Android device will soon be able to provide more details about the files they transfer. Small appreciable point, the annotated documents are more easily found in the search bar thanks to the annotations.
Finally, WhatsApp Android users should be able to further refine the description of their group chats. Concretely, the changes concern the number of characters that can be entered for the subject and the description of a group. The first goes from 25 to 100 characters, and the second from 512 to 2,048 characters. The objective is obviously to facilitate the identification of groups. This could be very handy, especially if the group in question is linked to a community.
